OGENYI ONAZI TO SWANSEA CITY

Reports in the Italian media have linked Swansea City with a move for Lazio's holding midfielder Ogenyi Onazi according to Wales online.

The 23-year-old has apparently been admired by Francesco Guidolin since the Italian's time in charge of Udinese.

Onazi made his debut in 2012 and has since gone on to make 73 league appearances for Lazio, also part of the side that lifted the 2012-13 Coppa Italia.

The reports claim Swansea are preparing a 5m Euro bid, but may have to lift it to 7m if they are to convince the Rome-based club to sell.

Onazi, meanwhile, is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League, frustrated by a lack of starts and playing time.

I would jump at the chance to play in the Premier League,” the Nigerian previously said on a wanting a move to England.

He has started just six Serie A games so far this term.

The holding midfielder is also an experienced international, with 36 caps and one goal.
