Deeney Leicester have offered £15million plus add-ons for Deeney, who performed impressively for Watford last season with 15 goals in all competitions. Troy Deeney  wants to join  Leicester  after seeing a £20million bid rejected from the champions. But the Watford striker is caught in the middle of a transfer battle with the Hornets insisting he is not for sale.

Batshuayi Chelsea   are considering a move into the race for £31million Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi. T he Belgium international has rejected interest from   West Ham   , insisting he wants to join a bigger club or a club in the Champions League. But   Spurs   are unwilling to be held to ransom by Marseille over Batshuayi’s valuation. The north Londoners are already in talks with AZ Alkmaar for   £12million Dutch striker Vincent Janssen   and are hopeful of concluding a deal within days.

Pjanic Manchester United is set to miss out on Pjanic.  Miralem Pjanic is about to sign for Juventus imminently. Jose Mourinho is reported to be a fan of the Roma playmaker but the Portuguese appears set to be disappointed as Pjanic nears a €32 million switch to the Bianconeri. The fee is short of his €38m release clause given Roma are unwilling to pay the player a 15 per cent cut of the fee, allowing Massimiliano Allegri's men to secure something of a bargain as they target Champions League victory next term. The sale of Pjanic – also a reported target of Barcelona – could have knock-on consequences in the transfer market, given Roma are likely to hold firm on their refusal to sell Radja Nainggolan to Chelsea.

Juventus want to start a bidding war for Pogba and believe the France star is worth 100m euros (£78million). This is nearly 100 times the amount of compensation United received from Juventus when Pogba left on a Bosman in 2012, angry at his lack of first-team opportunities under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Eric Bailly Eric Bailly has been confirmed as Jose Mourinho's first Manchester United signing after the Villarreal defender passed his medical at Old Trafford. The 22-year-old, who has only played 40 top-flight matches in his fledgling career, joins on a four-year deal subject to obtaining a work permit and cost United a fee of £30million. Speaking to the club's official website after the move was confirmed, Bailly said: 'It is a dream come true to be joining Manchester United. To play football at the highest level is all I have ever wanted to do.
