Jake Clarke-Salter is John Terry's long-term replacement in Blues defence?

The 18-year-old defender made his first-team debut against Aston Villa last month and John Terry says he reminds him of himself.

Terry believes highly-rated defender Jake Clarke-Salter will eventually take his place in the Chelsea team.

The academy defender, 18, made his professional debut at Aston Villa last month and has a huge reputation at the club.

Terry was the last graduate of the Chelsea youth team to hold down a regular place in the first team.

But the 35-year-old's contract expires at the end of the season. He has now tipped Clarke-Salter to become his successor.

Clarke-Salter was given a four-year deal in November and has been spoken of in glowing terms by both Guus Hiddink and his predecessor Jose Mourinho .
