Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will face Spanish side Villarreal in the UEFA Europa league second semi final tie. This will be the first ever meeting between the two clubs in the UEFA Europa League.
In the first semi final tie, Shakhtar Donetsk will face UEFA Europa League holders Sevilla. The two sides met in the last 16 in 2007 – Sevilla won 5-4 on aggregate on route to the title.
The semi-finals will be played April 28 and May 5 while the final at St. Jakob-Park, Basel will be played on Wednesday May 18.
